My time in English 2100 has been a journey of growth and development as a writer. This class has allowed me to explore writing styles I was not used to, such as rhetorical analysis. Since January, I have sharpened my skills in engaging with various literary texts and structuring my writing and arguments. Furthermore, this class has taught me the importance of revising and editing my papers. Before this class, I used to make drafts that I made slight changes to but only a little extensive. However, now I cannot only edit my papers in a more efficient and descriptive way, but it also taught me how to analyze other papers I read. Engaging with my peers during our draft workshops was extremely helpful and gave me several different outlooks on my writing. I also enjoyed the texts we read and learned how to annotate more in-depth and in a way that would help me understand the text better. The steps I can take to continue learning in ways that work for me include actively seeking feedback from my peers, annotating, revising my work regularly, and exploring writing resources. Overall, this writing class has taught me numerous lessons and was an enjoyable experience!
