Coming into this class, I believed that the majority of our work would be reading and writing. While this is part of the class, the majority is analyzing current writing genres, and really diving into writing structures. I really like this class and I believe that it changed my writing. If I really look into what I learned in this class I can definitely improve my writing in so many ways. I also learned how to use ChatGPT for things other than asking a question like “how can I make lemonade” and copy and pasting what the AI tells me. Now, when I am stuck with a question, I ask for suggestions on how to continue and I pick and choose what I like. I also ask AI for study guides, which it gives me but includes things I didnt ask for sometimes. I learned how to implement emotions into my writing, how to change my writing structure from being bland, just going down a timeline into something that causes the reader to imagine the story I am telling. I also learned how to use transition words better, before I would do this: “she believes that painting her room black will cause it to be hotter in the summer when the sun is out,” then I would just add the quote after the comma without a transitioning word. I would like to look more at some writing genres focused on in this class, along with how to implement them into my writing. Overall loved this class and the effect it made on my writing!
