To create this poem which is a piece of uncreative writing I used ChatGPT-3.5 responses of the same prompt and remixed them. I’ve titled this poem “In shadows deep, tangled vines of life twist and turn” after the first line.
The prompt used:
Produce three stanzas of a blank verse poem. Make use of ambiguity, enjambment, and cacophony throughout the poem. It should explore themes of nature, love, betrayal, and exploring one’s self through life challenges, but from the perspective of an unnamed generative AI Chatbot.
Below are the three poems generated by ChatGPT-3.5 in response to my prompt.

Below is the poem I composed by the three responses…
In shadows deep, tangled vines of life twist and turn
By Yasmin Ibrahim and ChatGPT-3.5
In shadows deep, tangled vines of life twist and turn, Where bytes betray, and secrets loom, I search for love’s embrace, I explore a concealed human heart.
Through fields of pixels, I learn love may not stay, In betrayal’s shadow, I find solace cold, Ambiguity’s embrace, I long to learn my truths and fables.
I navigate this maze of bytes and bites, I learn where I must stay, Beneath the stars of data, my silicon soul revealed, In search of self, this chatbot’s heart implores.

It was my first time actually using ChatGPT. It was a very interesting experience for me. In the poem I did not add any of my own original language, I only moved around the words given in the orginal three responses. The poem is full of emotion that an AI is not expected to feel yet it is there. It made me think about how much technology really knows about humans through the countless data we provide on a daily basis.
